Ryedale Christian Council exists to promote co-operation between all Christians in Northern Ryedale.
The geographic area covered is that of the Helmsley Anglican Deanery.



North Yorkshire County Council forms a vital part of community life in Englandís largest county, there are seven districts operating within the county - Craven, Scarborough, Ryedale, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Selby and Harrogate.


The Ryedale District Council encompasses the twin towns Malton and Norton, where the administrative centre has been established, and the market towns of Helmsley, Kirbymoorside and Pickering.


The Public Record Office is the national archive of England, Wales and the United Kingdom. It brings together and preserves the records of central government and the courts of law, and makes them available to all who wish to consult them. The records span an unbroken period from the 11th century to the present day.


The aim of GENUKI is to serve as a "virtual reference library" of genealogical information that is of particular relevance to the UK & Ireland. It is a non-commercial service, provided by an ever-growing group of volunteers in cooperation with the Federation of Family History Societies and a number of its member societies.

My family and I had the privilege in attending the Green Plaque ceremony at Victoria Gardens in 2014; the Plaque was positioned on the Thames Embankment near the Houses of Parliament where a German bomb had breached the Thames wall, and repaired by his Task Force. Bernard
