Hornby (brother of Tally who lived in Yew cottage)
of Lance Butts cottage not related to the George Hornby's
line, Martha Blades was George Hornby's sister.
Rose Dobson became Mrs Mothersdale
and wrote "A personal account".

Braithwaite was the cousin of Elsie Sleightholme
from the Sun Inn, Isobel Smith was the daughter of Annie
Timm's and the mother of Alan Smith, the girl
Betty Walton, Sophia (Cissie)
Walton's daughter.
Thomas Henry
Foxton lived at Pasture House and was the father
of Tom & Cecil, Jack Foxton was the brother of
Thomas Henry, and he lived in Fernleigh cottage
with brother Bob and sister Alice, Cecil Foxton
married Chrissie Tomlinson (brother was Joey) and lived in Vine Cottage.
Their daughter Rita was a friend of Margaret Wood.
Sid Rex father of George,
Sid & Lily of Broats farm, Salton; Bill Grummitt was a horseman at
Normanby Hill for S. S. Lockwood JP he left
Normanby around 1937 and returned to his native Melton Mowbray, enlisting in
the Royal Artillery as a driver/signaller early 1938, and served thought-out
W.W.2, as Sergeant dispatch rider.
Earnest Sherwood (1881-1958) was a Tailor at Piercy End, Kirkbymoorside.
Top
